The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa has been advised by Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye to fix his front teeth which resembles “tuo zaafi“- a popular local Ghanaian dish.
The Bono regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) directly swiped the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legislator for hypocritically attacking the government of President Akufo-Addo on moneys spent on air travels whilst leaving former President John Mahama out.
The Ranking Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has filed an urgent question in Parliament demanding that the government explains why President Akufo-Addo did not use the presidential aircraft for a recent trip to France.
According to the North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP), “It is an outrage and a blatant betrayal for Ghana to own a presidential aircraft in perfect working condition” and charter aircraft for Presidential travel.
But reacting to the allegation, Abronye stated that former President John Mahama made a similar trip to only France in 2013 and spent a whooping amount of over GHC1million on his flight.
“Mahama went to Paris and took $101,317.14. that is over GHC1 million…Your teeth like tuo zaafi”, he angrily said to the NDC MP.
He continued that unlike John Mahama, President Nana Akufo-Addo, doesn’t collect per diems when he travels.
“In his (Akufo-Addo) first four years, he never took per diem and in his second term he is doing same. This is the kind of President we need, he believes what he takes as pay is okay for him”, Abronye said to praise President Akufo-Addo.
