Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has been trending on social media after his vehicle reportedly knocked down some fans at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in the Greater Accra Region on September 14, 2026.
The musician had participated in the A Ga Adamgbe Scholarship Fund launched by Ghanaian business mogul Richard Nii Armah.
While leaving the premises, Shatta Wale encountered a group of fans gathered at the entrance of the hotel.
The fans, who reportedly failed to make way for the musician’s vehicle, were caught in its path, resulting in some being knocked down; however, no casualties were recorded.
A security officer onboard the vehicle was also seen getting down and attempting to disperse or discipline some of the fans following the incident.
Footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media, generating widespread reactions from users.
While some users have criticised the fans for failing to give way to the vehicle, others have expressed concerns about how the situation was handled.
