A Senior Research Fellow at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr Smart Sarpong has admonished the New Patriotic Party (NPP) fraternity in Ashanti Region to throw its unflinching support for the newly elected general secretary of the party, Justin Frimpong Kodua.
According to Dr Sarpong should the Ashanti NPP support JFK as Justin Frimpong Kodua is fondly called, breaking the eight years political regime will be a mere formality.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show, He said if the NPP polls 86% votes in Ashanti, the 2024 election will be a foregone conclusion for the party.
He urged that “JFK alone cannot work so we should all come on board to support him”
Dr Sarpong noted that the election of JFK as NPP General Secretary has revived the stronghold of the party.
However, the Senior Research Fellow appealed that former Youth Organiser for the Ashanti NPP, Dennis Kwakwa should succeed JFK as the Chief Executive Officer for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) program.
He said Dennis Kwakwa performed excellently well when he was the Youth Organiser and if he is appointed as the YEA CEO, it will inspire the party members.
