‘There’s No Artiste In Ghana More Divisive Than Shatta Wale’ – DJ Slim

Veteran broadcaster DJ Slim has stuck with his defence of Stonebwoy’s cryptic post about Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, firing back at fans of both artistes who criticised him for taking the BhimNation president’s side in the ongoing social media fallout.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, DJ Slim argued that Sarkodie’s message of peace and forgiveness should start with Shatta Wale, a man he described as the most divisive figure in the history of Ghanaian music.

“If Sarkodie is preaching peace and forgiveness, he should start with the person standing next to him, Shatta Wale. Because in the history of Ghanaian music, no artiste is more divisive than Shatta Wale,” he said.

DJ Slim pointed specifically to Shatta Wale’s public declaration that he intended to destroy the career of rising act Kweku Smoke, questioning how the same person could now share a platform promoting unity and goodwill.

“He said openly that he was going to kill the young boy’s career. If he had succeeded, would he stand on that platform to promote his own show?” he asked.

The broadcaster then turned to Stonebwoy’s now widely discussed post, in which the musician appeared to suggest that his friendship with Sarkodie was one of convenience, and argued that the observation was entirely valid.

“So if Stonebwoy tweets that he and Sarkodie are practising a convenient friendship, is he not making a point?” DJ Slim asked.
