Dear Edem Agbana,
Greetings to you from Ebenezer Presbyterian church at Obosomase Akuapem.
Unfortunately for me, I have not read the contents in your Manifesto but I need you to confirm to me if this is indeed captured in your Manifesto.
I saw a post on your timeline saying “Kyem p3” ie University students are going to pay half of their Bills.
Can u please confirm if it is in your Manifesto.
If u say “kyem p3” does it imply that the public and private universities will all benefit from your “kyem p3” promise?
Again, which one will your “Kyem P3” cover?
You know Tuition is free, so will the promise affect Residential bills or what?
Again, in unlikely event that the NDC wins the election, will you reintroduce the payment of utility bills for both residential and non-residential students before applying the ‘ky3m p3’ principle?
Are you aware that since this government took over from 2017, university fees for public universities have not been increased by a pesewa?
If this government had increased fees at the rate at which the previous government under John Mahama, the very man promising ‘ky3m p3’ did, university students would have been paying twice the amount they paying currently as fees.
In effect, this government has cumulatively absorbed about half the amount students would have been paying if the NDC had won the 2016 election.
Suffice it to say, that this ‘ky3m p3’ promise must be clarified in detail so that university students from private and public institutions will know what they are going in for lest they are shortchanged with paying the very amount they currently paying by the addition of utility bills and increase in the fees before applying the ‘ky3m p3’ rule you are promising.
Indeed if nakedness promises to clothe you listen to his name.
The confused brow of the NDC must serve us clarity.
Regards,
Nana Hesse Ogyiri
