Shatta Wale Recounts Mysterious Encounter With ‘Spirit’ Woman In Traffic

Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has recounted an unusual encounter with a woman he described as someone who looked mentally unstable, but whom he believes may have been a spirit.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, the Shatta Movement boss explained that the incident happened one night when he was on his way to visit his father.

He said he encountered the woman in traffic at a junction.

According to him, he was waiting for the traffic light to turn green when he suddenly heard a voice and turned to see the woman, who appeared to be mentally unstable.

He said he then asked her if everything was alright.

The woman, however, responded in a calm manner, saying, “Do not be afraid, our support is with you in everything you do.”

Shatta Wale further narrated that he was moved by the moment and immediately reached into his bag, took out GH¢500, and offered it to her.

He said the woman declined the money, telling him, “I didn’t come here for your money. I only came to deliver a message to you.”

According to him, by the time the traffic light turned green and he looked again, the woman had disappeared without a trace.

He added that the encounter has since changed how he views and treats people, saying it has made him more open and less judgmental, regardless of someone’s background or appearance.

“I feel God has a way of directing me, which is why I’ve told myself I will never discriminate against anyone in my life again. God once told me I had disrespected one of His children, though I don’t know which of His children it was. That was why He made me go through that 10 years of exile during my Bandana days,” Shatta Wale noted.
