My Song With Guru Is The Biggest In His Career – LilWin

Filmmaker and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has stated that he gave Hiplife artiste Guru what he considers the biggest song of his career.

Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix, LilWin said to this day, whenever his song with Guru, “Alkayida”, is played, it still attracts strong reception.

He also acknowledged that while Guru’s “Lapaz Toyota” was a major hit, it does not match the impact and success of “Alkayida.”

“When it comes to the biggest song so far, I would say it’s the one Guru did with me, Go Lilwin. That song really stood out and it is the biggest song to help Guru in his career. Even though Lapaz Toyota is also a big record, Go Lilwin still commands attention anytime it comes on. In my view, it’s even hotter than all his other songs,” he said.

LilWin further explained that after the success of Alkayida, Guru later invited him again for another recording titled “Tie Tie Break.”

According to him, the original version of the song featured his former manager, Zack, but he noticed that Zack was missing from the final release.

When asked why Zack was left out of the final version, LilWin said he was unaware of the reason, adding that at the time, he wasn’t often in touch with Guru.

He added that after recordings or performances with Guru, he usually went his separate way, and disclosed that during those early days, he did not even charge after performing with him.

“I don’t know why Zack was left out of the final version of the song. I also didn’t really have any direct relationship or conversations with Guru. After we recorded together, I went my own way. So I wouldn’t even know how to go back and ask a big artiste like him where the original version we worked on is,” he noted.
