Private Legal Practitioner, Nana Obiri Boahen, has underscored the necessity of reevaluating Ghana’s Planting for Food and Jobs initiative if the country is unable to export its produce abroad for revenue generation.

Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, reflecting on his recent visit to the United Kingdom in an interview, noted the successful export endeavors of countries like Rwanda and Brazil, citing examples such as Rwanda exporting fried corn and Brazil exporting plantains to the UK.

Expressing dismay at Ghana’s failure to capitalize on similar export avenues, Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, criticized Ghanaian intellectuals and scholars for what he perceives as a letdown to farmers and missed opportunities for the nation.

Highlighting the abundance of opportunities available to Ghana, the former NPP Deputy General Secretary stressed the need for a paradigm shift in the country’s approach to agriculture and exportation.

In a bid for change, he appealed to supporters of both major political parties, NDC and NPP, urging them to consider voting for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as President, expressing confidence in potential positive outcomes under his leadership.
