The Ghana Football Association has announced the postponement of all Ghana Premier League Matchday 30 fixtures following the tragic death of Dominic Frimpong.
In a statement released by the GFA, they explained that the decision was taken to allow clubs, players, officials, and fans the time to mourn and honour the memory of the late footballer.
“The suspension of Matchday 30 fixtures will allow the football family across the country to reflect and pay tribute to the late player during this difficult period,” the statement noted.
The Association also extended its condolences to Frimpong’s family, his teammates at Berekum Chelsea, and his parent club Aduana FC, as well as the wider football fraternity.
The Ghana Premier League is now set to resume on the weekend of May 1 – 4, 2026, with Matchday 31 fixtures, while a new date for the postponed games will be announced in due course.
