Samartex Timber and Wood Company Limited at Samreboi has allegedly burned a mining truck and plant belonging to Chairman Wontumi who is the owner of Akonta Mining Company in the area.
Disclosing this on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Friday, Chairman Wontumi described the incident as sad.
He said, “I have kept quiet because you can’t use emotions to solve problems. You have to be rational.”
Chairman Wontumi revealed that it’s a plot by the Samartex Timber and Wood Company to destroy his company.”
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP hinted that he has a lease of the Akonta Mining Company which the lease will expire in 2035.
