The owner of Akonta Company Limited, Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi has set the record straight saying he has a legitimate license to do mining at Samreboi.
According to Chairman Wontumi, he has lease for the Akonta Company Limited which the lease will expire in 2035.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Friday he defended that he has the same document as New Mont, Anglogold Ashanti et al to do mining.
“Where my life has gotten to why should I do galamsey? he asked.
Chairman Wontumi bemoaned that Samartex Timber and Wood Company has allegedly connived with Joy FM to sabotage him and destroy his company.
He fumed that Joy FM has turned into a propaganda media house.
However, he disclosed that Samartex Timber and Wood Company Limited is not a Ghanaian company.
He said the company has liaised with the youth in the area to destroy Ghanaian companies.
