The host of Movement TV’s morning show, Kwaku Dewuro, has called on delegates in the Ashanti Region to vote for Lawyer Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu if they want a chairman with a strong academic background.
The host addressed some of the chatter around Chairman Wontumi’s tenure, particularly claims that he lacked formal education. According to him, people said Wontumi was not fit to lead the region. But now that someone who fits their narrative is contesting, he asked, what then are delegates waiting for?
“People talked about it when Chairman Wontumi became Regional Chairman, saying he is not educated,” he said, urging delegates to vote for Kokofu because of his rich educational background.
Kwaku Dewuro said Dr. Kokofu’s consistency has been one for the books, noting that he has “been CEO before, he has been an MP before, he has been a polling station executive and a constituency chairman before.”
He added that Dr. Kokofu is a man of integrity and is among the best politicians in the region.
