The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has rubbished the just ended press conference held by the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia describing it as a “trickster’s show“.
The NDC scribe popularly known as General Mosquito, in an interaction with the press today sort to create the impression that the Akufo-Addo led government had lured people from Cote d’lvoire to register in Ghana during the recently held voters’ registration exercise.
According to him, “His Excellency has made several attempts to commend the peaceful nature of the registration exercise without mentioning a single act of violence during the exercise including that which was perpetrated by his own appointee which led to the killing of two innocent Ghanaians”.
But his claims were denied by the NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi who told Wontumionline.com that “the content of the press conference by the NDC was rubbish”.
According to him, General Mosquito is a known “dirty trickster” and could do everything to paint the NPP government black through propaganda.
He stated that with the land and sea borders still closed, it was highly impossible for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP to contradict their stance by allowing people from neighboring countries to be part of an exercise meant for only Ghanaians.
He therefore called on Ghanaians to ignore the call by the NDC scribe and rather support President Akufo-Addo to win the 2020 general elections.
