Celebrated lawyer Maurice Ampaw, has advised Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to stick to his human right activism and forget about becoming President of Ghana.
Lawyer Ampaw stated on Wontumi TV’s Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem that the Member of Parliament for Assin Central was born a fighter and human rights activist and not President.
According to him, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong should come to terms that becoming President of a nation is calling from God just as some people were created to become judges.
“You are a fighter that is why you fight anything that is unjust. You fought Afia Schwarzenegger for her stupidity and I supported you…don’t let people lie to you they want to spend your money”, he cautioned.
An Accra High Court on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, struck out a defamation suit brought by the journalist against the lawmaker.
The plaintiff, filed the case in 2018, seeking among other reliefs monetary damages to the tune of GH¢25 million.
However, the court presided by Justice Eric Baah despite finding various claims made by the defendant against the plaintiff as potentially defamatory, ruled that the comments were factual and fair.
The court subsequently dismissed the suit and awarded the defendant a sum of 50,000 Ghana cedis to cover his legal costs.
