The main motive behind John Mahama’s decision to contest the 2020 Presidential election, is to get a way to use Presidency to steal, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, has revealed.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, emphatically stated that should Mr. Mahama be given the nod to rule the country again, he would use the Presidency to steal and milk the coffers of the state.
The NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi pointed out that history has demonstrated that when former President John Mahama was in government, he allocated state resources to himself and his brothers.
“Mahama wants retirement package for himself and his brother but we won’t give him that chance. Even after losing the 2016 elections, he used the transition period to sign documents to hand over Ghana’s bauxite to his brother.
If we make a mistake and he gets the chance again, he would change Bank of Ghana (BoG) into his name and swallow all our cash”, Chairman Wontumi revealed.
On the same show, the NPP Chairman advised Ghanaians to ignore the Big Push agenda being trumpeted by Mr. John Mahama. In his view, the Big Push agenda is a “rebranded scam”.
Former President John Mahama has announced a $10 billion accelerated infrastructural plan, dubbed the Big Push.
According to him, the Push will drive jobs and entrepreneurial agenda when elected in December 2020.
“We are looking at what I call the Big Push, injecting some $10 billion to dualise our roads, complete the remainder of the 200 Community Day Senior High Schools, finish all the hospital projects that have been left abandoned, and construct bridges to open up the country”, Mr. Mahama stated.
But the NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi reminded voters that former President Mahama failed to deliver several promises he made to Ghanaians when he was President.
“John Mahama is championing a big lie push agenda. He talked about Hope City project when he was President and he couldn’t deliver. He promised us one-time premium payment National health insurance and he ended up giving us capitation”, Chairman Wontumi stated.
