The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has fired a warning to former President Mahama to stop playing “chacha” with the future of Ghana by making vague promises he can never achieve.
Speaking on the Majority Caucus show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, the MP stated that unlike President Nana Akufo-Addo who is implementing policies that is securing the future and economy of Ghana, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is just making empty promises as if he is playing “chacha” to wit gambling.
“You want to play ‘chacha’ with Ghana’s economy“, the NPP MP said on the show.
Former President Mahama has been on a promise making spree, throwing promises without backing them with tangible ways he would be fulfilling it.
Notable among his promises is to provide one million jobs in his first term if he is given the nod.
But Kennedy Agyapong called him to order and reminded him that it was his administration that collapsed several jobs and the banking sector before President Akufo-Addo inherited Ghana’s economy.
Governance according to the legislator, “isn’t a trail and error” game.
He added that “Nana Akufo-Addo has given jobs to the people. Tell us what you will do and stop making empty promises“.
