The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has charged women in the party to win President Akufo-Addo power in 2020 by spreading his good works and the development he has brought to Ghanaians.
Addressing members of the party at the launch of the party’s Women’s Campaign Team in the Ashanti region, the NPP Chairman popularly known Chairman Wontumi addressed the women he was swearing in as the modern day Yaa Asantewaas and encouraged them to be brave and win the party in 2020.
In a brief remark to the women, Chairman Wontumi stated that “I know God will give us all the seats in Ashanti region. You are like Yaa Asantewaa. We have 47 parliamentary seats in Ashanti region and out of this, we have 44… the NDC has 3 seats and we are going to take it and protect the 44 we have.”
He continued that “we need 90% victory at every constituency. It is going to tough but we know you can do it. You need to be visible at all mosques, churches, homes and markets.”
