A senior lecturer with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo has fired the General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for describing Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta as a “lame-duck” minister whose appointment spells doom for the nation.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia has granted several interviews to media houses following the vetting and approval of Ken Ofori-Atta and stated that the main reason the NDC approved his nomination is because the NDC wants to aide President Akufo-Addo have a “lame-duck” person in charge of the country’s finances.
“There was a party decision that let President Akufo-Addo have his Finance Minister and that has been achieved. It is the position of the party that if President Akufo-Addo thinks that he wants a lame-duck Minister of Finance, let him have it,” he said.
But reacting to the statement by Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito on the Wontumi Morning Show, Dr. Forkuo noted that such comments could only be passed by people who don’t have clean heart.
He described General Mosquito as man who is of age and based on that must pass comments that show he is matured.
“It is an evil talk. A man of his caliber, I don’t know what he wants in life again for him to speak like that.
He is a bad old man to speak like that. He can even kill a person judging from his comment” the senior lecturer said.
