You Are A Naked Man Promising Ghanaians An Expensive Cloth- DCE Tears Mahama Apart Over Ex-gratia Comment

A former District Chief Executive officer for Upper Denkyira West, Hon. Agyemang Asiedu , has cautioned former President John Mahama to stop bragging and show seriousness by directing the state to stop him monthly salaries if he is serious about doing something about what the 1992 constitution says about ex-gratia payments.

Hon. Asiedu Agyemang likened the former President to a naked man promising to cloth Ghanaians in an expensive clothes. Speaking on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, the former DCE stated that Mr. Mahama should decline the 4 Toyota land cruisers he takes from the state and the free air travels he enjoys if he is truly serious about doing something about ex-gratia payments despite being in office for more than 4 years.

Former President John Mahama has promised that the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will champion a review of the 1992 constitution to tackle issues such as ex-gratia payments and reformation of the Judiciary.

The 2020 NDC flagbearer believes the incumbent Akufo-Addo-led government has derailed democratic gains made in Ghana.

Speaking at a meeting with NDC lawyers, the former President assured that if the NDC is given the nod in 2024, the review process of the constitution which commenced during the period of late President Atta-Mills will continue.
