Year Of Roads: Hon Baako Weeps Over Delay Of Projects By Contractors
Municipal Chief Executive for Assin-Central Hon. Nicholas Kofi Baako has bemoaned over the delayed of road projects in the area by the contractors.
He said that, government and the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong have done their part on the poor road network but left with the part contractors.
Hon. Kofi Baako told Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Radio/TV’s Election 2020 flagship programme that he and his MP are yet to terminate the contract of the contractors who have delayed with their projects.
“We want the deplorable roads to be motorable so we have done some re-shaping.” He said
Hon. Kofi Baako appealed to the residents to remain calm because it’s only NPP that can fix the deplorable roads for them.
He said that, the residents should give another four years term to Nana Akufo-Addo and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to do more for them.
Some of the ongoing road projects are:
Construction of culvert at Obrayeko.
Construction of culvert at Nyaduam.
Reshaping of Fosu-Dunkwa road.
Upgrading of 5km Assin-Fosu by pass road.
Upgrading of Brofoyeduru- Akropong Oda road.
Upgrading of Dompim- Twifo Praso road.
Reshaping of Masarakyi road
