Chairman Wontumi has branded John Mahama the “biggest liar” in Ghana for attempting to claim his government implemented the free SHS policy.
After years of opposing the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, former President John Dramani Mahama is trying to take credit for the policy that is the flagship of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia government.
The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in an interview on an Accra based radio station stated that Mr. Mahama clearly told Ghanaians that he will not invest and provide free education to students even if he had the money to do so.
“John Mahama is the biggest liar in Ghana. He told us if he has GHC 2 billion he won’t invest it into education. He said it can’t happen”, Chairman Wontumi said.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has recently been claiming that he started free SHS in the Ghana.
The former President argued that, as someone who started progressive free SHS, he is for any policy that improves education in Ghana.
But Chairman Wontumi responded that “To me he lies and is a liar”.
According to him, Ghanaians would find it harder to trust Mr. Mahama if he continues to tell lies about the free SHS.
