Lawyer Maurice Ampaw is challenging Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to come out and explain to Ghanaians his motivation behind his move to become flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) despite claiming the party lost the 2024 elections in 2022.
His comment comes on a statement by Kennedy Agyapong during his ‘Showdown Unity Walk’ that “We lost the 2024 elections in 2022. At the time the Ghana cedi destroyed the hard work of many businessmen, all the way to the tomato seller. Ghanaians will never forget that.
“The time the middle class went to court because their monies were lost, and the time the pensioners had their monies gone, Ghanaians will remember that,” he stated.
Responding to it, lawyer Ampaw stated that “I can’t understand Kennedy Agyapong. You want to be flagbearer of a party that you claim has been defeated in 2022”.
“Why then do you want to be flagbearer of a party that has lost the elections? It means you don’t have the party at heart. It is all about you and you are pretending you are the only one who speaks the truth and cares for the party”, lawyer Ampaw said.
