Whiles vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is seriously campaigning to be elected as flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), some of his contenders are focused on throwing “bombs” that would hinder the progress of the party, Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey has sadly observed.
Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey, a finance and management expert stated on the Wontumi Morning Show that Bawumia is poised to increase his votes in the upcoming NPP presidential primaries because of the seriousness he is attaching to the campaign he is embarking on.
“His votes would rise again because he is the most serious candidate among his peers”, Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey said as he weighed the chances of the remaining candidates on the show.
Kennedy Agyapong, one of the NPP’s presidential aspirants was heard saying during his ‘Showdown Unity Walk’ that his party lost the 2024 election in 2022.
“We lost the 2024 elections in 2022. At the time the Ghana cedi destroyed the hard work of many businessmen, all the way to the tomato seller. Ghanaians will never forget that.
“The time the middle class went to court because their monies were lost, and the time the pensioners had their monies gone, Ghanaians will remember that,” he stated.
But Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey praised vice President Bawumia for sticking to plan and not digressing and making similar comments he described as “bomb”.
According to him such comments can hurt the chances of the NPP in the 2024 elections.
