The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Kofi Owusu Omar, has lauded Vice President Bawumia effort to ensure people living in the Zongo communities get proper education through scholarship.
He also attacked former President Mahama for looking down on the Zongo communities and making ‘okada’ riding his major campaign promise.
According to the GCPP Chairman who spoke on the Wontumi Morning Show, it has become clearer that the National Democratic Congress led by former President Mahama, does not want the Muslims community living in the Zongos to have access to proper education.
Mr. Kofi Omar who is a staunch Muslim, praised Vice President Bawumia for the love he has shown to his people and urged voters not to support the okada idea of former President John Mahama.
In comparing the achievements of Dr. Bawumia and former President Mahama, Chairman Omar stated that “Bawumia is fighting for scholarships for northerners and Mahama is fighting for pragia, Bawumia has brought VW to Ghana to assemble cars and Mahama is fighting for pragia. Bawumia is fighting for more Islamic schools and Mahama is fighting for pragia” adding that “all the ideas in Mahama’s head is finished.”
