When The Hymns From Our CSOs Are Not Mellisonant Enough....

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of minds deemed to be little.

Madam Elizabeth Ohene, in her erudite rendition on these neutrals and CSOs, detailed her disagreement with some of them on how they want to be seen to be holding the punishing rod of the land and have monopolized the act of critiquing governments without accommodating dissenting views on their views.

Some of these opinionated groups, she indicated, believe whatever comes from them are sacrosanct and cannot be disputed. These and many other cogent topics formed part of her widely circulated opinion captured in that beautiful prosy piece.

There are many CSOs who were apparently in the mind of one of the best writers Ghana has ever written, Madam Elizabeth Ohene, but the responses to her appear to be emerging from one or two CSOs.

Though some of the responses have been delivered in a very respectful, decent manner, there are a few of them which can simply qualify to be described as nauseating and reprehensible.

Moreover, most of the responses have been way off beam as they have failed to comprehensively deal with the very themes Madam Elizabeth Ohene touched on in the article.

The responses should continue but one wonders why only one person from one CSO is vehement in responding to her.

In conclusion, the wonderful piece from Grandma had some hypnotic effects which have doused the vibrancy of some of these loudmouthed CSOs. The few canary birds can continue singing but they should employ melodic beats and honeyed lines to deliver their songs.
