Following Stonebwoy’s outpouring of allegations and sentiments about what he described as “despicable” treatment from his colleague, Sarkodie, the Sarkcess Music boss has issued a detailed response to address the claims.
For the first time, Sarkodie ever took his time to respond to any artiste who has ever called him out online; the rapper went all out in a long list of counter-responses to Stonebwoy’s claims.
Sarkodie has specifically denied claims that his recent social media posts were aimed at mocking Stonebwoy.
He has shot down the BHIM Nation boss’ accusations, stating emphatically that none of his posts were directed at him.
“The first thing I asked you when we got on that call, and I still want to ask, is ‘What is your problem?’ If, for any reason, you connected that post to yourself, that should tell me how you feel about everything else.
“First off, there’s no post I’ve made in my life trying to shade you, and I don’t respond when fans want to make connections because I only care about your opinion, not what someone else makes it seem,” parts of his post read.
Sarkodie insisted that if he had issues with Stonebwoy, he would not have personally invited him to perform at his Royal Albert Hall Rapperholic show in the UK.
On Stonebwoy’s concerns about Sarkodie’s sudden and seemingly pretentious friendship with his longtime rival Shatta Wale, who has sought to denigrate him on several occasions, Sarkodie argued that Stonebwoy cannot dictate whom he associates with, pointing out that Stonebwoy himself interacts with people who have disrespected him.
He also cautioned Stonebwoy against twisting his words, noting that he always seeks peace whenever issues arise between them.
“If I had any issues with you, I wouldn’t have been the one to pick up the phone, call you, and invite you to my RAH show. You hang out with people who have disrespected me, but there’s no way I would assume that means you support their disrespect towards me, because you have nothing to do with it.
“Yet you seem to feel I owe you something that simply doesn’t exist. This is not the first time you’ve had these feelings, and every time you do, I take a deep breath, come to you, and we talk,” Sarkodie maintained.
He added, “…So there’s really no need to twist my words or make them mean something they don’t.”
What Sarkodie did that triggered Stonebwoy
Sarkodie shared a series of cryptic posts believed to be aimed at Stonebwoy following the latter’s much‑anticipated BhimFest concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.
One of the posts featured a video of an amputee attempting to kick someone. Although Sarkodie did not mention Stonebwoy by name, fans and industry insiders interpreted it as a subtle jab, since critics have long mocked Stonebwoy’s leg and knee defect over the years.
On September 7, 2026, Sarkodie followed up with another post on X cautioning artistes not to be swayed by fan support, warning that some fans thrive on fueling feuds for personal gain.
“To the artistes: just because a fan sh**s on another brand to elevate you doesn’t mean they love you more. Be careful about entertaining that energy.
“We’re in an era where some people love engagement for their own personal gain. They may look like they’re fighting for you, but they genuinely don’t give AF about you,” Sarkodie wrote.
Stonebwoy’s initial reaction on X
Following the post, Stonebwoy, unimpressed by Sarkodie’s tweets, took to X to accuse the rapper of hypocrisy.
According to Stonebwoy, Sarkodie failed to congratulate him after his OVO Wembley show and instead chose to mock him on social media. He pointed out that after Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert in the UK, he had personally called to commend him, but the rapper refused to return the favour.

“After your RAH show in the UK, I called you the next day to congratulate you, and we spoke for 10 minutes+. After my OVO, you posted the second video on social media… Whatever message you meant to send across, only you can explain.
“After I made that factual tweet, I still went ahead and sent you a message because you were posting some cryptic stuff. You called back immediately. I missed it, but I called you back after, and we spoke for more than an hour about industry, behaviours, and perspectives,” Stonebwoy said.
He also noted that during a phone call with Sarkodie, the rapper made it clear that no artiste should be “forced” to uphold principles, insisting that musicians should play along with whatever benefits them, only for him not to apply such standards himself.
Stonebwoy’s second heated response
The issue did not end there, as Stonebwoy, seemingly furious, took to a live session on social media, where he poured out a mountain of concerns.
He accused Sarkodie of disrespect, inhumane treatment, hypocrisy, and betrayal, among other grievances.
He leveled a series of allegations that shook social media, leaving netizens divided over the controversy.
