Hon. Akwasi Konadu has taken strong exception to comments that his likes have pitched camp with the campaign team of vice President Bawumia because they are positioning themselves to be considered for juicy appointments in the future.
Reacting to such allegations on the Wontumi Morning Show, the Member of Parliament for Manhyia North stated that it is never a crime if the vice President has promised him a position in his future government and believes that the others following other Presidential aspirants, are equally following their respective candidates because of what they know is in it for them.
“Assuming I want appointment and so what? Those making the call why are they also following other candidates? That is the hypocrisy of people that drives people away. Some spokespersons are driving people away”, he responded.
He insisted that no one has taken money from the vice President before joining him.
Hon. Akwasi Konadu also asked the spokespersons for the other presidential candidates to stop making a mountain out of a molehill by making horrible statements about the proxy list to be used for their Super Delegates Conference.
“Otiko Djaba will apply the proxy for Kwabena Agyapong so let me rhetorically ask, has Hon. Kwabena Agyapong given her money before to use the proxy?” he asked.
He continued that the “spokesperson for Alan campaign is also going to apply proxy, does it mean he has taken money? Let’s not do this thing to ourselves, it drive people away”
The NPP has scheduled August 26, 2023 for its Super Delegates Conference to shortlist five out of the 10 flagbearer aspirants for the party’s presidential primary to be held on November 4, 2023.
