The National Women Organizer for the New Patriotic Party, Kate Gyamfua is calling on members of her party to unite as they party seeks to break the 8 year political cycle in Ghana’s history.
In an interview with Oheneba Asiedu on the Wontumi Morning Show, the NPP national executive who was part of a delegation that have started a working tour of all constituency in the country, noted that winning the 2024 elections demands that the party presents a united front.
“We need unity for 2024, it is the reason they came for the meeting. It was a party review and things went well as planned”, Kate Gyamfua said.
Touching on the outcome of the 2020 general elections, she stated that “voter apathy nearly caused the NPP’s defeat” adding that their meetings with the party grassroots has educated them a lot on things which needs to be improved.
National executives of the NPP visited 25 constituencies in the Ashanti Region as part of their tour to have an opportunity to listen and address the concerns of party grassroots.
The nationwide working tour is also to engage the structures of the party on ways by which they can support the Akufo-Addo government to deliver on its second-term mandate in order to enhance the party’s chances of breaking the 8-year governance cycle.
The delegation comprised the National Chairman, Freddy Blay; General Secretary, John Boadu; National 1st Vice Chair, Rita Asobayire; National 3rd Vice Chair, Omari Wadie; National Treasurer, Amankwa Yeboah; National Organizer, Sammi Awuku; National Youth Organizer, Nana Boakye; National Nasara Coordinator, Abdul Aziz Futah; and the National Women Organizer, Kate Gyamfua.
