President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to take the “see something say something” initiative serious to combat terrorism in Ghana.
He says government took deliberate planning to keep the country safe and secure.
Delivering this year’s state of the nation address (SONA) in the flaw of parliament, the president noted Ghana has not been affected by the extremism that is occurring in neighboring countries because of the proper planning.
The armed forces and all the security agencies have been resourced with their welfare prioritized, he said during the delivery of the State of the Nation address on Tuesday Febraury 27.
“Our nation is “safe and secure.” he said.
The police , he added, are much better equipped than they have ever been, he added.
Citing the extremism occurring in other parts of West Africa, he said “we can no longer take the territorial integrity of the country for granted.”
