THE Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a strong message to National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer telling them in plain words that the incumbent is not going to hand over power to them anytime soon.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, stated during the inauguration of the NPP’s Ashanti regional campaign team that the party was more united than ever and focused on breaking the eight (8) year political cycle.
He mentioned that the NPP loves Ghana and is not ready to hand over to an incompetent person like former President John Mahama to destroy all the good works they have done.
“2024 we are breaking the eight (8); they can’t stop us because we are united than before. We are united and breaking the 8. We are not going to give it to you John Dramani Mahama because you are not an option. We are not going to give it to you to spoil the good works Nana Akufo-Addo has done. We are not going to give it you; we are united and we love Ghana. We love Ghana and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is going to succeed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. We are breaking the 8. It is a movement stronger than apartheid”, he chanted.
