Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Agradaa or Mama Pat, has been captured in a video scolding a male singer in her church for performing a song she did not approve of, asking him to stop and choose a better one.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, Agradaa and members of her congregation gathered at the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry church in Weija, Accra.
In a video circulating on social media, while dressed in a pink cassock and a white Jewish Tallits (prayer shawl), she is seen standing on stage as some male congregants moved to the front for a special prayer session.
Before the prayers began, a male singer at the Heaven Way Ministry stepped forward to lead a melodious gospel performance, appealing to God for intervention in life challenges, with backing vocals from Angel Asiamah.
However, the song choice did not sit well with the leader of the church, who openly rebuked the singer and instructed him to change it.
Agradaa later advised him to perform a different song.
“Stop that ‘Obra, Obra,’ and sing a better song,” she said.
The service came just days after Agradaa visited the Nsawam Female Prison for the first time following her early release as a former inmate, where she donated items to her former colleagues.
During the visit, a total of 101 female inmates benefited, each receiving GH¢100 as part of her outreach and appreciation to the prison community.
Mama Pat’s visit followed her release after a court decision reduced her 15-year sentence to one year, a development that attracted significant public attention.
She was accompanied by her husband and members of her church, who joined her in the outreach exercise at the facility.
