The Ashanti regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako widely known as Chairman Wontumi, has urged electorates to cast their votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer in the coming general elections.
According to him, Bawumia as a president will facilitate the continuity of the Free SHS policy.
Addressing the media at Bekwai on 6th September, 2024, he reiterated the NPP’s commitment in keeping the status quo if it is re elected.
In addition, he revealed that it is the ploy of the opposition National Democratic Congress ( NDC), to revoke the Free SHS policy and other social intervention programmes when it secures victory on December 7.
He therefore entreated Ghanaians to vote for Dr.Bawumia.
“NDC has trapped Ghanaians. He didn’t listen to anyone when he had eight years, talk of having just 4 years. Let us not give Mahama the last chance to finish us. His intention is to destroy the Free SHS we are enjoying.
” You will find at least one Free SHS beneficiary in every house in the country. This is why we need to vote for Dr Bawumia. Let’s do it for the sake of the policy” he stressed.
