Dr. Samson Anoma has berated the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah for labeling a recommendation from the Ministry of Education to the Presidency to appoint Dr. Eric Nkansah as acting Director-General of the Ghana Education Service as “unreasonable and backward”.
According to Dr. Anoma, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislator for Old Tafo, speaks like he is rather a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the party must look for ways to impeach him for disrespecting the President.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislator said in a Facebook post that the Education Ministry’s recommendation that caused the removal of Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwah was “ill conceived, selfish and baseless.”
This comes after three pre-tertiary teacher unions declared a nationwide strike over the appointment of a banker as the Director-General of GES.
But reacting to his stance on Wontumi TV, Dr. Anoma described Vincent Ekow Assafuah as a person who “acts like an NDC MP”.
“He has to be impeached if there is room for it. He can’t even defend the President”, Dr. Samson Anoma added.
He urged NPP members at Old Tafo to vote Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah out when it is time for parliamentary primaries adding that “he isn’t fit to be there…He is too childish and arrogant. He is a ‘tik-toker’.”
