Video: Your Lecturer Contained "No Sense"- Sam Jonah Checked

Following his recent lecture to Rotarians in Accra and suggesting that Ghana is currently facing debt crisis, Sam Jonah K.B.E, has been checked by a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party who has responded that there was no sense in the lecture the renowned businessman delivered.

Mr. Christian Opoku Agyemang sought to know from Sam Jonah, the solutions he has brought on board to resolve the issue he talked about noting that he offered “no tangible solution“.

Speaking on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, the NPP activist stated that one would praise Sam Jonah for the lecture he gave because it lacks facts.

Sam K. Jonah, has bemoaned that Ghana is experiencing a debt crisis under the watch of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Mr. Jonah data available to him “indicates that for the first quarter of 2020, GDP grew at a rate of 4.6%, contracted to -3.2% for the second quarter and -1.1% for the third quarter, giving an average outturn of 0.2% for the three quarters of the year. For the same period in 2019, the economy grew at the rate of 6%. At the end of the third quarter, the industry sector contracted at -3.1% while services grew at 1.9%. Only the agriculture sector increased in its growth rate recording 4.5% at the end of the third quarter as compared to 3.7% for the same period in 2019. This is telling us something, right? Even though government revenue exceeded the revised target for the year, expenditure also exceeded the revised target leading to the end of year fiscal deficit of 11.7% of GDP”.

But summarized his point by describing the long speech by Sam Jonah as on that contains “no sense“.

He further accused Sam Jonah K.B.E of being the reason a vibrant Ashanti Goldfields Corporation collapsed.

Despite the riches of Sam Jonah, Christian Opoku Agyemang wondered what he has contributed to the development of Ghana.

What has he done for Ghana to progress? He is ranked a rich man in Ghana…if he won’t help with his money for the nation to progress, he should keep mute“, he advised.
