The District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu, Samuel Addai Agyekum, has responded to comments by former President John Dramani Mahama that a voodoo spell was cast on him by some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to make Ghanaians dislike him when he was in power.
Hon. Addai Agyekum in an interview on Wontumi TV’s Agenda 2024 show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, stated that he finds the statement by Mr. Mahama absurd considering that his ‘pious‘ National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, was even unable to detect the evil spell and destroy it through prayers.

“The national Chairman for the NDC is an elder of a church and Mahama is known to attend church too but he is saying we (NPP) used voodoo on him…He needs to be sacked from the Assemblies of God Church.
If demons are worrying you and your church couldn’t cast it out for you, then it means there is something wrong…So he means Ofosu Ampofo couldn’t see it the spell?” he sarcastically asked.
Former President has been captured in an interview stating that aside deliberately using propaganda to paint him black, the NPP used magic and voodoo to make him look irrelevant in the eyes of electorates.
The spell he claims contributed to his defeat in the 2016 Presidential elections.
