Video: Were Your Brains Tied When You Signed IMF Loans? Mahama Challenged

EIU Report: Maybe Issues Of Presumed Corruption Is Affecting John Mahama- Researcher
Mr. John Mahama

The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party has challenged former President John Mahama to reveal what influenced his decision to borrow unnecessary from the IMF and World Bank when he personally knew the negative impact it would have on Ghanaians.

Kwame Baffoe also known as Abronye wondered whether Mr. Mahama as President, made the NPP his personal consultants before arriving at his decision to take the loans.

When you (Mahama) was signing the loans at IMF and World Bank, did you have the NPP standing by your left or right?” he asked.

The 2020 defeated flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been captured on tape stating that aside deliberately using propaganda to paint him black, members of the NPP used magic and voodoo to make him look irrelevant in the eyes of electorates.

Mr. Mahama claims the spell contributed to his defeat in the 2016 Presidential elections.

But a suprised Abronye demanded to know from the NDC leader if he wants to suggest that the NPP “tie your brains” when he was President of Ghana.

Tearing into the former President for making that comment, Abronye stated that “was it also propaganda that you went in for loans? I am sure you will go to Benin to seek spiritual help for the 2024 elections…You carry a baggage of issues around you“.

Abronye stated on the Nsempa Fie political show on Wontumi TV that when Mr. Mahama was President, he was briefed by several economists that taking such facilities would bring about job loses but he ignored the calls and went ahead with his own plans.

The move according to Abronye contributed heavily to the defeat of Mr. Mahama and for this reason, makes less sense for him to attribute his defeat to juju.

You (Mahama) went to borrow from the IMF and World Bank and under their condition that you will cut employment to Ghanaians and yet you agreed. The youth didn’t get jobs and came out to vote against you“, Abronye said as a reminder to the former President.
