A political analyst and social commentator, Baffour Oteatuso Kokobeng II has weighed into the matter surrounding the gross disrespect some government appointees have been demonstrating to some Chiefs across the country.
Baffour Oteatuso Kokobeng II who is also a chief noted on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com that some government appointees specifically, District Chief Executives (DCEs) lack manners and created eminity with Chiefs.
He added that aside disrespecting chiefs, some DCEs also practiced galamsey.

But a livid Kokobeng II warned that political parties don’t have power than traditional rulers since they are mostly regarded as custodians of our land and must be accorded much respect.
“Do you think political parties have authority over Ghana’s lands? The only thing politicians have is their party office“, the political analyst said as a reminder to the various DCEs.
According to him, it is traditional rulers who release lands to successive government for development to carried out and it was highly inappropriate for DCEs to fight Chiefs on their own lands.
He was optimistic that President Akufo-Addo would not retain majority of his DCE’s who served in his first term due to such issues which has come up.
