The final funeral rites of Sir John takes place today, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Sakora Wonoo in the Ashanti region.
Wontumi TV has visited the final resting place of the former General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party and it looks plush.
His final resting place has been constructed like a gated self contained home with his picture boldly displayed on top of the building.
The NPP stalwart died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital of Covid-19 complications.
Sir John, was appointed CEO of the Forestry Commission and was known in his private life as Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie. He was also a lawyer and was born in 1957.
Dignitaries including the President, Nana Akufo-Addo are expected to be at the occasion to pay their last respects later in the day.
The mortal remains of the affable former Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission will later be put to rest at the Sakora Wonoo family cemetery.
