Former General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah, is to be blamed for the downfall of the party, current General Secretary of the party, Janet Nabla Asana, has said.
Speaking on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Ms. Asana revealed that under the leadership of Mr. Mornah, deliberate steps were taken to stall the progress of the PNC by delaying their congress to elect new executives before the 2020 general elections.
“We were always divided at NEC meetings. Bernard Mornah was part of it. It made us perform badly at the elections”, she said.
Due to presence of Bernard Mornah and some others, executives of the PNC “didn’t have time to talk to people about our manifesto” adding that “but thank God we don’t have such people around again.”
Ms. Janet Nabla Asana was quick to add that under her leadership, she would ensure that the party “goes to congress early to avoid such happenings.”
