Had it not been for the law which mandates the Supreme Court Judges to have time and listen to what the petitioner of the 2020 election has to say, they would have thrown the case into a dustbin, a Communication team member of the New Patriotic Party in Ashanti region has said.
Victor Osei-Poku claims the content of the petition is empty and it perfectly matches the phrase their own General Secretary, John Asiedu Nketia coined that “any idiot can go to court”.
“I have taken the pain to read their petition severally and I can’t make the head and tail of it”, Victor Osei-Poku said on Wontumi TV.
He compared the current situation to that of the NPP’s 2013 election petition and stated that the party was able to furnish the court with pink sheets from 11,000 polling stations making their case stronger than that of the NDC that are struggling to produce just 1 pink sheet.
It is absolutely madness for the lawyers for the petitioner to claim that all votes should be annulled simply because the first respondent during the declaration said total vote cast instead of valid vote cast.
“…that is madness to say that…this is madness because I don’t get it…this is why the NDC have failed to bring figures to the court”, he said.
