Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has praised the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia for being transparent when he mounted the witness box to give testimony during the election petition hearing at the Supreme Court.
Lawyer Ampaw in his view stated that the NDC chief scribe performed better than any lawyer can perform as witness in any hearing and deserves massive praise for it.
“I have been a witness before and I ca tell you that there is no lawyer out there who can be a good witness. Every lawyer is a bad witness because when ask him or her a question, instead of responding that fellow would be thinking only about the legal implications of their response.”
He however pointed out on Wontumi TV that the sterling performance put up by Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito, could be as a result of the absence of NDC members to cheer him on like they do at rallies and press conferences.
“He couldn’t do propaganda there and he not seeing NDC members for him to be motivated to speak freely could be a reason he performed well as a witness…He met judges and lawyers who meant business…He spoke the truth and that has destroyed his case“, Lawyer Ampaw said.
He stated that he is also impressed by the conduct of the judges that have sat on the case noting that they have shown that they were on top of their game.
He lastly congratulated both legal counsels for President Akufo-Addo, former President Mahama and the Electoral Commission.
