(VIDEO) Gyakye Quayson Should Refund Salaries Paid To Him- Private Legal Practioner
A Private Legal Practitioner, Nana Serwaa Acheampong says the Supreme Court ruling on James Gyakye Quayson restraining him from holding himself as MP for the Assin North Constituency is legitimate.
Lawyer Nana Serwaa Acheampong stated that the ruling of the apex court doesn’t result in any constitutional crisis.
Participating in the Atenteben Morning Show on Movement TV in Accra, she stressed that per the ruling of the apex court, James Gyakye Quayson should refund every salary and allowance paid to him.
“If you receive something you are not entitled to, you refund it,” he told host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
The senior member of the Ghana Bar Association said the embattled Assin North MP should have respected the earlier ruling by the High Court.
Lawyer Nana Serwaa Acheampong said it was in the right direction Michael Ankomah-Nimfah dragged to court to challenge the eligibility of the Assin North MP over allegations of holding dual citizenship.
