The work ethics of Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has made other extremely hardworking political regional Chairmen look ordinary, a senior member of the Great Consolidated Popular Party has said.
Chairman Kofi Owusu Omar in an interview on the Wontumi TV show, stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been the biggest causality ever since Chairman Wontumi became the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Ashanti regional Chairman.
In his view, Chairman Wontumi has lifted the bar through hard work and explained that prior to his Chairmanship, the NDC used to win the national elections by scooping just 600,000 votes from the Ashanti region.
He continued that Chairman Wontumi has made the task difficult and the NDC would need 1,000,000 votes from the Ashanti region before they can win an election- something he added was impossible is Chairman Wontumi is maintained by the NPP.
Chairman Kofi Owusu Omar ended by stating that if the NPP makes a mistake and vote out Chairman Wontumi, whoever takes over from him would struggle to give the NPP 400,000 votes in an national elections.
