The leadership of Bawus, a political group with strong connection with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), have issued a strong warning to radio journalist Captain Smart to stop using his media platform to continuously disrespect NPP gurus.
They described Smart as a man motivated with malice just to vilify and assassinate high profile personalities in the NPP.
They further noted that he uses his platform to blackmail people, to fill his stomach.
The group aired out their concerns when they organized a press conference to point out the unprofessional ways of Captain Smart when he sits behind the console on Angel FM.
In an audio sent to Wontumionline.com, the group stated that Captain Smart was deliberately disrespecting President Akufo-Addo, Vice President Bawumia and respected members of the NPP.
“He doesn’t respect the President and the gurus in the NPP. We are giving him his last warning because we have realized that this is his first time doing this against our leaders. He sits on tv and radio which belongs to Kwaku Oteng an NPP guru, to disrespect the President.”
According to the Bawus they have taken notice of the unscrupulous attack by Captain Smart on government and are therefore showing him a “RED CARD” to stop him.

In calling out Captain Smart, the Bawu’s noted that “Just last week, he (Captain Smart) was on air disrespecting Vice President Bawumia by calling him dumb. He is referring to a man with international reputation as dumb? We don’t believe Captain Smart thinks of himself the same as Bawumia…or he has forgotten that it is the Vice President who helped his boss get the radio license?”
Warning to Kwaku Oteng
Owner of the Angel Group of Companies, Kwaku Oteng was also not spared by the Bawus as they advised him to learn from Chairman Wontumi and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.
They claimed that it is becoming clear that Kwaku Oteng is sponsoring Captain Smart to destroy the party that made him.
They wondered if he thinks he has made millions after associating with the NPP and is now better off without the party.
“What we don’t understand is that Kwaku Oteng is paying Captain Smart to destroy the party”, the Bawus said.
The group used Chairman Wontumi and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong as examples of NPP gurus who operate bigger media houses but never use their medium to attack the sitting government or the NPP.
“Chairman Wontumi has a TV and Radio station but woe betides any of his workers to disrespect the NPP; he will fire you if you do that. The same thing applies to Kennedy Agyapong. Both men use their stations to protect the party”, the Bawus stated.
