(VIDEO) Blame Mahama For Coronavirus Spike In Ghana- Chairman Wontumi

I’ve No Option Than To Salute John Mahama- Obiri Boahene Discusses 2020 Elections
Former President John Mahama

Spike in coronavirus cases in Ghana should be blamed on former President John Mahama, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said.

According to the NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi, President Akufo-Addo was managing the cases of coronavirus well until the defeated flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress threw his supporters on the streets to demonstrate without respecting the safety protocols associated with handling COVID-19.

Adding to the views expressed Chairman Wontumi, the Bono Regional Chairman of NPP, Kwame Baffoe and the outgoing Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah, all agreed that Ghana has seen a surge in COVID-19 cases because of the unnecessary demonstrations Mr. Mahama organized before petitioning the Supreme Court.

“They were telling their people to demonstrate and get naked…They don’t like taking their bathing as well. They were burning lorry tyres and throwing stones at innocent Ghanaians. They are provoking the system for the National Security to come in so they will do another thing”, the two NPP executives expressed on the Nsempa Fie show which airs on Wontumi TV.

Currently, Ghana has recorded over 60,000 cases. Out of the number, 58,150 people have recovered and 372 people have died.
