The people of Assin North have happily welcomed the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into their constituency ahead of the impending by-election.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi was seen on the streets of Assin North engaging attentive indigenes that were ready to hear the campaign message of the NPP.
“When there was hardship in the country, you were staying in Canada”, Chairman Wontumi could be heard saying as he took a swipe at the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate whose name has been expunged from Parliamentary records.
Another part of Chairman Wontumi’s tour to the area, captures him dancing with the NPP’s parliamentary candidate- Charles Opoku at Church of the Twelve Apostles popularly known in Ghana as ‘Nackabah’.
The person who led the praise song at the church used Chairman Wontumi’s name to compose a song to which everyone around was seen dancing in a joyous mood.
