A Political Science Lecturer, Dr Isaac Brako has affirmed that it will be in the right direction to declare the Parliamentary seat of the absentee Dome-Kwabenya MP, Adwoa Safo as vacant.
Adwoa Safo has been absent from Parliament for quite a long time.
The MP in a recent interview indicated that her absence is due to the ill-health of her son and that once he’s better, she will resume her duties in the country.
She also indicated that she sought permission and President Akufo-Addo is aware of everything she’s going through.
According to Dr Isaac Brako if the Dome-Kwabenya MP had explained her reason to the Parliamentary Privilege Committee, it would have calmed the tense atmosphere.
He fumed that, Adwoa Safo is playing with Parliamentary work.
“If the images and the videos circulating on social media are true then she is playing with the work.
Dr Brako said if the seat is declared vacant it will pave way for a person willing to serve Dome-Kwabenya and the country to get the opportunity.
