Reappointing Asomah-Cheremeh to serve in President Akufo-Addo’s government would amount to members of the Council of State being referred to as a rubber stamp group, Kwame Baffoe has said.
The Bono regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party is against the reappointment of former Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh in serving under President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the NPP Chairman also known as Abronye called on members of the Council of State to demand accountability before advising President Akufo-Addo to appointment people who failed him in his first term.

Abronye minced no words stating that should Asomah-Cheremeh get the chance to get any appointment, it would mean that the “Council of state members have become a group that gives ill advise to the President“.
He added that “I will describe you as a rubber stamp… demand accountability, don’t allow anyone to come with their chiefs to come and beg you for position.”
Abronye also called on President Akufo-Addo not to allow Mr. Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh to come and damage the reputation he has suffered to build for himself.
According to him, the rot Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh left as minister for Lands and Natural Resources Minister could have taken the entire NPP to opposition.
“Just one man like him, can take the entire party to opposition”, Abronye warned.
