A Safety and Environmental Officer, Thomas Adjei Amakye has lauded the government for imposing a fine on the Maxam Company over the Apiate explosion.
Thomas Adjei Amakye said the fine is in the right order.
In an interview on the Wednesday edition of Wontumi Radio Morning Show, he wailed that the concern is about the lives lost.
According to him, many things went into the explosion.
He urged authorities to take into consideration when issuing building permits to put up houses.
Thomas Adjei Amakye said there should be the availability of vehicles to escort the explosives.
He indicated that the speed limit of the explosive cars should be 60km per hour.
