A former deputy General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), lawyer Obiri Boahen, has slammed former President John Mahama over comments that he shunned attending Independence days celebration under the current government because the state broadcaster wouldn’t focus their camera lenses on him.
Infuriated by the comment, lawyer Obiri Boahen told listeners and viewers of the Wontumi Morning Show that it would be better for the former President to start his own tik tok channel if he is craving for attention.
“As former President what attention does he want? With respect to all tik tokers, if Mahama wants attention he should see Asantewaa for videos on tik tok”, he asserted.
He also rubbished statements by Mr. Mahama and some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that this years’ independence Day celebration shouldn’t have come on because there is shortage of vaccines.
According to him, in 2014 when Mr. Mahama was President, “we had no vaccines for measles and we were in darkness, but you celebrated the Independence Day”.
